On September 27, 2020, which was the first anniversary of the opening of the Jingbian-Shenmu Railway, the centralized traffic control (CTC) function of the CASCO signaling system was officially put into use after a year of pilot run and testing. Shaanxi Railway and Logistics Industry Group held a grand opening ceremony on "the First Anniversary of the Opening of the Jingbian-Shenmu Railway of Shaanxi Railway and Logistics Industry Group and the Symposium on Making Coordinated Efforts to Advance the Building of a Modern Logistics System". CASCO President Assistant Yang Zhi was invited to attend this ceremony and witnessed this important moment.

The Jingbian-Shenmu Railway is located in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. Its main line is 243.96 kilometers long. This railway line starts at the Shenmu West Railway Station of the Baotou-Xi’an Railway in the north, and connects with the Hongning Railway, as well as the Jingbian North Railway Station of the Haoji Railway in the south. The Jingbian-Shenmu Railway serves three mining areas in Shenfu, Yushen and Yuheng and three energy and chemical industrial parks in Yushen, Yuheng and Jingbian. This railway is for the external public transportation of the local Shaanxi coal resources and is also one of the most important centralized transportation lines for China’s “coal transportation from the north to the south”. This railway is of great significance for optimizing China’s energy supply structure and ensuring China’s energy security. Over the past year, this energy resource transportation line has been operating safely and stably. This is not possible without the support of the CASCO signaling system.
With the departure of the first 10,000-ton coal transportation train, the Jingbian-Shenmu Railway was officially put into operation on September 27, 2019. To ensure the stable, efficient, safe and intelligent operation of the Jingbian-Shenmu Railway, CASCO equipped this railway line with its core centralized traffic control system - FZk-CTC3.0. CASCO also customized an integrated transportation dispatch system for the traffic control center of the Shaanxi Railway and Logistics Industry Group.

CASCO's FZk-CTC3.0 is more automated and intelligent than the traditional centralized traffic control system. It can conduct remote automatic control of the train routes throughout the railway line, thereby comprehensively improving the level of automation and transportation capacity. FZk-CTC3.0 outperforms its rivals in system performance, safety, adaptability and stability. Taking the train dispatching command system as the core, the integrated transportation dispatch system has further incorporated the integrated dispatch management system, the freight management information system, and the integrated station management system. Highly automated and intelligent management can be achieved through the unified dispatch of various resources.
In addition, CASCO and Shaanxi Railway and Logistics Industry Group are also deepening their cooperation. In July 2020, the two parties jointly established the Railway Intelligent Train Control Lab. With the goal of “building intelligent railway, developing intelligent logistics”, the lab has carried out more research on intelligent train control system technology. This reflects the determination and confidence of both parties in building China into a rail transit power.
The official launch of the “CTC3.0 + integrated dispatch” for the Jingbian-Shenmu Railway is another milestone that CASCO has set up in northern Shaanxi railway market following the Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway and the Haoji Railway.
