Recently, CASCO successfully won the bids for two projects of Xiamen Rail Transit Line 6: the Huaqiao University Station to Binhai West Avenue Station (referred to as the "Hua-Bin Section") and the Jiageng Gymnasium Station to Tongxiang High-tech Town Station (referred to as the "Jia-Tong Section") of Jimei-Tongan section. CASCO will provide its self-developed Xi digital rail transit (XiDRT) solution to realize the application of four key functions.
The Jia-Tong Section of Line 6 is a new independent metro line with a total length of approximately 26.396 km and 15 stations. The project covers the construction of signaling system, integrated supervision and control system, and network cloud platform.
The Hua-Bin Section of Line 6 is an extension of the existing Line 6 (Lindai West to Huaqiao University Station), with a total length of approximately 4.331 km, 3 stations, and 1 depot. The project covers the construction of signaling system and integrated supervision and control system.
CASCO’s XiDRT solution is built on a self-developed open digital platform for rail transit and two core platforms—intelligent operation control and intelligent maintenance. It integrates multiple intelligent products and applications to drive operation production management processes through data and support multi-disciplinary integration and multi-role collaboration, thus achieving an upgrade from "man seeking data" to "data seeking man" in the process of dispatching and maintenance. This not only enhances operation safety and resilience but also optimizes maintenance quality and costs.
Since its release, the XiDRT solution has been recognized by users in Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Shenzhen, and other cities for its flexible and open platform, customized applications, and safe and efficient performance. It has become a best practice for digital transformation and intelligent upgrading in the industry. The solution CASCO has developed for the Xiamen projects integrates intelligent dispatching, intelligent maintenance, intelligent operation control, and intelligent depot management, which enables multi-disciplinary, full-process integration of "management, control, and maintenance". It can intelligently respond to various scenarios under normal, fault, and emergency conditions, such as coordinated control under flexible network constraints, safety management during severe flooding, and operation adjustment during sudden faults, ensuring operation safety and resilience.
The two projects are both GoA4 fully automatic driverless lines. CASCO will simultaneously serve as the general contractor, signaling system supplier, and consistency coordinator for fully automatic operation. Leveraging its mature driverless technology and rich project experience, CASCO will focus on traffic organization and operation needs, coordinate full-lifecycle management, create high-quality projects, and help Xiamen Metro accelerate its entry into the "driverless" network era.
With the winning of this bid, the number of CBTC lines that CASCO has participated in China has reached 111, and the number of GoA4 fully automatic driverless lines has grown to 27, maintaining its leading position in the industry. Meanwhile, CASCO will continue to focus on goals such as "safety, convenience, efficiency, sustainability, economy, inclusiveness, and resilience", driving the sustainable development of rail transit through innovation.
