On June 28, Hefu (Hefei-Fuzhou) High-speed Railway opened, which is renowned as the most beautiful railway in China for passing Mount Huangshan, Wuyuan and Mount Wuyi. The shortest railway traveling time from Hefei to Fuzhou is cut down from 8.5 hours to 4 hours, with safeguard by CASCO’s centralized traffic control (CTC) system along the way.

Hefu Railway is an important part of Beijing-Fuzhou High-speed Railway and also a traffic artery linking the south and north of China. Stretching across Anhui, Jiangxi and Fujian Provinces, the line is 808 kilometers long and designed with the speed of 350km/h, thus raising high demand for the signaling system.

The CTC system provided for Hefu Railway by CASCO is deployed according to the latest technical specifications of China Railway Corporation and designed with C3 standard. It applied two-way transmission technology for the first time in Shanghai and Nanchang Railway Bureaus, which greatly improved the stability and reliability of the system. In the trial-run period, it added software with train control examinations, which could conduct real-time monitoring alarm of abnormal operation and further enhance the train safety.

Hefu CTC project lasted for over a year since May 2014. During that time, facing tight schedule and severe conditions, CASCO’s team succeeded in completing software upgrade and renovation for various stations and servers and cooperatively accomplished the first Level 1 line connection in ten years in Shanghai Railway Bureau. CASCO won high recognition from client for on-time delivery of the project with professional technology and excellent project execution.
