On December 26, Xi'an-Yinchuan high-speed railway officially went into operation. The ocean blue CR300BF high-speed train dashed out from Ningxia, went all the way south, down the Gobi desert and the Loess Plateau, and drove straight into the Guanzhong Plain. At that moment, the history of no high-speed railway in Ningxia became a thing of the past and Ningxia was integrated into the national high-speed railway network.
Xi'an-Yinchuan high-speed railway is an important part of the section from Baotou (Yinchuan) to Haikou in the "eight verticals and eight horizontals" high-speed railway network in China, with a total length of 618 kilometers, starting from Xi'an in the south, passing through Xianyang in Shaanxi, Qingyang in Gansu and Wuzhong in Ningxia, and finally reaching Yinchuan, the capital city of Ningxia province. As the first high-speed railway crossing the Loess Plateau and the first high-speed railway connecting the old revolutionary base areas of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia provinces, the Xi'an-Yinchuan high-speed railway has been born with many expectations of the people along the line, and has great political and economic significance.
As a signaling equipment supplier of Xi'an-Yinchuan high-speed railway, CASCO equipped the line with the industry-leading FZk-CTC3.0 centralized traffic control system and centralized signal monitoring system, which have realized automatic remote control of shunting routes and centralized control and monitoring of signal equipment, boosting the transportation efficiency as well as the routine maintenance efficiency and accuracy of electrical workers, and ensuring the safe and stable operation of trains.
In particular, FZk-CTC 3.0 outperforms traditional centralized dispatching system in terms of performance, security, adaptability and stability, featuring leading innovation and development of dispatching command system in the industry, and has become the mainstream substitute of centralized dispatching system. As the leading all-round integrated train dispatching command system in the industry, CASCO FZk-CTC 3.0 has been widely used on many railway lines in China with over 800 stations in operation, since its first application to Hekou South Railway Station of China Railway Lanzhou in 2016.
During the project, CASCO also undertook the reconstruction of Xi'anbei Railway Hub, which contributed to further consolidating the position of Xi'an as a heart of the transportation network. Facing the complicated links between the newly-built depot and the existing depot, the CASCO project team overcame difficulties and completed the reconstruction task with high quality, providing a remarkable reference for future optimization of similar high-speed railway hubs. After the opening of the line, Ningxia and Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia region is interconnected with the national high-speed railway network via Xi'an, and cover over 20 provincial capitals in East China, Central South and Southwest China.
Thanks to the Xi'an-Yinchuan high-speed railway, the travel time from Yinchuan to Xi'an is reduced from 11 hours and 45 minutes to about 3 hours. The Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia interconnection economic circle is taking shape quickly. CASCO empowers the high-speed railway with the "super brain" and has established a new benchmark in the northwest railway market, which will not only secure the railway operation of the whole line, but also boost the implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative of China, further improves the northwest high-speed railway network and promotes the regional economic and social development.
On January 29th, the "AI+Rail Transit" Smart Scenario Conference, jointly organized by Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Driverless Train Control of Urban Guided Transport and Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, and co-hosted by CASCO and Shentong Metro Technology Center, was held in CASCO Urban Rail Transit Center in Shanghai Shibei Hi-Tech Park.
On January 23, Shanghai Metro Line 15 was officially put into operation. It is the fourth line with the highest international grade of automation (GoA4) participated by CASCO, following Shanghai Line 10, Chengdu Line 9 Phase I and Shanghai Line 18 Phase I (South Section), which is truly "driverless" as it realizes unattended and uninterrupted metro line operations, with an open cab design at the front.
In December 2020, High Dependable Intelligent Urban Rail Engineering Research Center (hereinafter referred to as "HDI Center"), jointly established by CASCO and Zhengzhou Metro, and constructed by CASCO (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd. was officially unveiled in Zhengzhou. This is the second smart urban rail transit research platform founded by CASCO after the establishment of "Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Driverless Train Control of Urban Guided Transport " in 2017.
