Recently, the digital platform of railway transportation developed by CASCO has been officially launched and put into operation in Huaibei Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., which implanted an intelligent core for optimizing railway transportation to realize the accurate control of freight information.
In December 2019, CASCO' RIDS, which integrates traffic command, train dispatching and freight management, was officially delivered to Huabei Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. and put into operation in December 2019. The system, whose development is tailored to the mine's characteristics, is significantly effective in reducing personnel's labor intensity, accelerating vehicle turnover and improving railway transportation efficiency.
On the basis of successful application of existing RIDS, CASCO integrated the mobile Internet technology into expansion and upgrade of the business related to corporate railway transportation, thereby establishing a digital platform of railway transportation and further developing the corresponding APP of mobile terminals. Users can use their mobile phones to check the dynamic details of railway freight transportation in real time at any time and any place; both executors and managers can keep abreast of their businesses and operation, and fully enjoy the convenience brought about by data sharing.

Interface of the APP is clear and concise, including seven sections, i.e. on-track existing vehicle, station existing vehicle, train plan, inventory display, freight loading, freight unloading and train composition. Click on corresponding icons on the home page to check such information as the number, duration of stay, empty weight, vehicle model and track occupation of all existing vehicles in each station, as well as progress of loading and unloading, freight type, destination and other information flow, with all kinds of transport information at command.
The APP gathers the data during the whole process of freight transportation at railway stations and screens valuable information for display to research, judge, adjust and optimize the transportation production.
For example, in the section of "on-track existing vehicle", the background color of vehicles that have stayed for more than 48 hours will be highlighted to remind the users that the vehicles have stayed in the dedicated line for too long and become "delayed vehicles" requiring prompt operation plan adjustment and prioritized loading and delivery. In the section of "freight loading", the loading progress of the station at different times can be monitored in real time, providing a basis for staff to optimize transport plans.

It is noteworthy that the APP has multi-post collaboration and information linkage functions, which can provide exclusive digital information services for different posts.
After the vehicle crews enter the vehicle numbers, serial numbers and crew information, the APP will automatically activate the CTC run chart to provide such information as stopover stations and time, and forecast of construction sections.
The staff can obtain the work plan through the APP, complete the inspection track with the assistance of GPS/BDS and automatically upload the recorded data through the APP, to realize real-time location monitoring, task approval and track viewing during the inspection; the critical inspection parts and abnormalities found in inspection can also be reported via Internet through photos, videos and texts, to review and report the problems included in the rectification process.
With the help of the APP and two-way warning of wearable bracelet, the on-site construction personnel can realize real-time positioning and set the safety distance with reference to the information indicated by CTC routes; the on-site construction personnel receive the sound and light warnings of train staff, departure and approaching operation area through APP, to realize man-machine joint control and improved safety of site operation.
