CASCO's ID-Space System Empowers All-Space Unmanned System Construction in Pingtan

03 Jul 2025

Recently, CASCO's ID-Space system completed multi-scenario demonstration flights in Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian Province. This marks a solid step forward in creating low-altitude application scenarios and exploring intelligent control for all-space unmanned systems.

As a national demonstration zone for open development and innovation, Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone possesses unique geographical advantages, policy support, and industrial foundations. It is fully committed to building an all-space unmanned system and low-altitude economy industrial cluster. Collaborating with Pingtan Economic Development Bureau, Pingtan Culture & Tourism Group, and Fujian Aviation Association, CASCO leverages its technical expertise in low-altitude airspace management to co-create an integrated air-land-sea unmanned system, injecting new momentum into high-quality development of the low-altitude economy.

The demonstration flights showcased four landmark application scenarios tailored to Pingtan's regional features and industrial needs:

Air-Sea Coordinated Emergency Rescue

Through coordinated dispatch of UAVs and USV (unmanned surface vessel) clusters, it established an island-reef emergency response model: "UAV scanning and positioning + USV close-in response". During maritime emergencies, UAVs can rapidly arrive for 3D modeling and target locking, while USVs execute material delivery or rescue operations, achieving seamless integration of aerial and maritime rescues.

Integrated Air-Ground Tourism Shuttle

With seamless operations between autonomous vehicles and eVTOLs, it creates a panoramic 3D tourism experience. Tourists can enjoy smart transfers between ground autonomous shuttles and low-altitude passenger aircraft, forming a "low-altitude sightseeing + ground connection" tourism loop that redefines island travel.

Island Smart Logistics via UAVs

It launched logistics routes from Dayu Island to Jinjing Wharf and emergency supply routes from Liushui Wharf to offshore fish farms. This achieves efficient "last 10-kilometer" delivery for island communities, providing critical support for livelihoods and fishery production.

Low-altitude UAV Inspection

It deployed professional UAVs equipped with tri-modal payloads (visible light, infrared, LiDAR) for automated inspection of offshore wind turbine blades. With AI-powered defect recognition and 3D reconstruction technologies, it enhances inspection efficiency, reduces maintenance costs, and significantly improves operation safety of offshore renewable energy assets.

CASCO's ID-Space System

This demonstration flight represents a deepened practice in low-altitude scenarios following CASCO's previous breakthrough in direct drone control and close-range tracking in Nan'an. It further validates the technical maturity and commercial viability of the ID-Space system in complex environments. Moving forward, CASCO will continue advancing digital airspace management, accelerate technology commercialization, and build a "safe, efficient, and collaborative" low-altitude operational environment to fuel the lift-off of the low-altitude economy.
