On November 9, the 17th ITS China Congress (ITSAC 2022) kicked off in Chengdu. CASCO, on behalf of CRSC, was invited to attend the event and made a wonderful appearance in the "Intelligent Rail Transit Development Forum", showcasing its industry-leading technical solutions and successful practices for the intelligent rail transit era.
Opening ceremony of the 17th ITS China Congress
The annual ITS China Congress hosted by the China Intelligent Transportation Systems Association is the largest and most influential annual industry event in the field of intelligent transportation in China. As one of the most popular professional forums in the industry, the "Intelligent Rail Transit Development Forum" focuses on the concept, framework, technology system and typical applications of train autonomous control system, providing new ideas, new approaches and application demonstrations for the development of the industry.
The opening of "Intelligent Rail Transit Development Forum"
On the morning of November 10, the forum was held as scheduled in both online and offline forms, gathering many experts and technical leaders from the National Railway Administration of the People’s Republic of China, metro companies, and scientific research institutions. Wang Xiaoyong, CASCO’s Technical Director, was invited to be the host of this forum and delivered a keynote speech on "Research and Application of Train Autonomous Circumambulation System (TACS) Based on Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication".
Wang Xiaoyong delivers the keynote speech
In the context of digital transformation, how can the rail transit effectively utilize the limited infrastructure to provide greater capacity while ensuring safety? What measures can be taken to further optimize the life cycle cost and achieve more economical and flexible operation? Wang Xiaoyong introduced CASCO's new-gen high-performance signaling system, TRANAVI Qiji TACS, based on its application cases.
Through three key innovations in platform optimization, system simplification and resource refinement, TRANAVI Qiji has realized autonomous resource management featuring vehicle-ground cooperation and active protection featuring vehicle-vehicle interaction. With a simpler system structure and more powerful function application, TRANAVI Qiji is able to improve safety and operation efficiency and reduce the life cycle cost.
In December 2021, as Shenzhen Metro Line 20 went into operation with GoA4 fully automation, TRANAVI Qiji became the first and currently the only TACS system in the industry to be put into commercial operation. In the future, TRANAVI Qiji will also make a splash on Shanghai Metro Line 3/4, making it the first project in China renovated with TACS system. In this regard, Wang Xiaoyong added, " TRANAVI Qiji can effectively improve the transport capacity, reduce the risk of renovation, and speed up the renovation cycle. It has a broad market prospect as it shows not only high applicability for new lines, but also outstanding advantages in renovation of existing lines. "
TRANAVI Qiji's appearance at this forum demonstrated CASCO's innovative spirit and profound scientific research strength to keep pace with the times. As a practitioner and promoter of intelligent rail transit technology, CASCO will continue to leverage its leading advantages in the industry, explore cutting-edge technologies and provide strong momentum for the development of rail transit industry in China.
