Recently, CASCO has received a series of good news in terms of market operation, winning the bids for the signaling system of Shanghai Rail Transit Airport Link Line and Xi'an Metro Line 15 Phase I. CASCO will present solid performance in the fourth quarter and spare no efforts to achieve the annual target.

Shanghai Rail Transit Airport Link Line

Shanghai Rail Transit Airport Link Line starts from Hongqiao Railway Station and ends at Shanghaidong Railway Station, passing Pudong International Airport Station along the way, with a total length of 68.6 km, 9 stations on the main line and a maximum design speed of 160 km/h. It is one of the first 11 demonstration suburban railways designated by the National Development and Reform Commission.

This project is the first suburban railway signaling system integration bidding project in Shanghai. CASCO will provide the CTCS2+ATO signal systems, which enables intelligent dispatching of suburban railways to realize bus-like and networked operation, and provide cross-line operation dispatching and command capability.

The line connects two international airports in Shanghai, Hongqiao and Pudong. After operation, the travel time between the two places can be shortened from 90 minutes to 40 minutes. At the same time, the line links up Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, Shanghainan Railway Station and Shanghaidong Railway Station along the route, which will also help realize the seamless connection between the railway hub and airports and the urban transportation in Shanghai, and promote the integrated development of higher quality transportation in the Yangtze River Delta.

Phase I of Xi'an Metro Line 15

The Phase I of Xi'an Metro Line 15 is an east-west traffic artery connecting the south of the main urban area of Xi'an. The line starts from Xiliu Station in the west and ends at Hanjiawan Station in the east, connecting the Hi-tech Zone, Chang'an District and the Civil Aerospace Industrial Base with a total length of 19.46 km and 13 stations. This line is of great significance for alleviating traffic congestion in the southern part of Xi'an City and advancing the construction of Xi'an as a national central city.

Xi'an Metro Line 15 Phase I is a GoA4 fully automatic operation metro line, and it is the second local driverless line involving CASCO’s contribution after Xi'an Metro Line 16 Phase I. CASCO will provide CBTC signaling system and the new-gen electronic computer interlocking products for the line. Meanwhile, as the consistency coordinator, CASCO will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of all core subsystems.

In recent years, CASCO Xi'an, as the company's northwest headquarters, has actively participated in the construction of local rail transit projects including Xi'an Metro Line 4, Line 16, and Line 15. It has also taken the lead in signing a contract with Qin Chuang Yuan innovation drive platform to jointly promote the construction of the Xi'an Rail Transit Industry Alliance and drive the development of the whole industry chain of upstream and downstream rail transit companies. Based on the projects under construction, CASCO Xi'an will further strengthen the R&D strategic layout and promote the implementation and development of related products in the future, contributing to the development of the rail transit industry in Northwest China.
