Recently, the Shanghai Suburban Railway Airport Link Line (hereinafter referred to as the " Suburban Airport Line"), in which CASCO participated in the construction, passed the pre-operation safety assessment with high quality, announcing its imminent launch into initial operation.

The Suburban Airport Line is one of the first batch of 11 suburban railway demonstration lines designated by the National Development and Reform Commission. CASCO provided it with efficient and intelligent suburban railway signaling system solutions and was responsible for the integration, design, supply, installation, testing, and delivery of all signaling systems. This is also the first time in the industry that a single signaling supplier has coordinated the signaling integration of a national railway-standard suburban railway.

To meet the requirements for interconnection with national railways and bus-like operation, the Suburban Airport Line adopts the CTCS-2+ATO signaling standard, and innovatively adds functions such as automatic turn-back and precise train arrival announcement, achieving a deep integration of national railway and urban rail technologies.

Particularly noteworthy is the CTCS-2+ATO automatic turn-back function, which boasts a 3-minute automatic turn-back capability, a first among national railway signaling lines. This can effectively shorten turn-back and tracking intervals, reduce passenger waiting time, and enhance operation efficiency. Earlier, the CTCS-2+ATO signaling system supplied by CASCO completed field tests for the Suburban Airport Line in Changchun in December 2023. During the tests, the system operated stably, with the automatic turn-back meeting the requirement for a 3-minute operation interval across the entire line, laying a solid foundation for the system's application.

Currently, the Suburban Airport Line is in the final pre-opening trial run. During this period, CASCO will continue to uphold its professional spirit and rigorous attitude, adhere to high standards and quality in completing the pre-operation preparations, and fully strive towards the opening goal to ensure the smooth launch of the line.
