Over the past week, we launched the initiative of the 7-Day Low-Carbon Life Week. All CASCO employees actively participated and jointly completed the green campaign.

With small yet persistent efforts, we converge the power to change the world. In response to the national strategic goals of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality", we have actively carried out the "dual carbon" energy conservation and environmental protection work. In 2024, through energy conservation and emission reduction, we achieved a year-on-year decrease of 7.14% in the comprehensive energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of output value and a year-on-year decrease of 8.51% in the carbon dioxide emissions per 10,000 yuan of output value.

• We saved 155,000 kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to reducing approximately 70 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
• We saved 2,937 tons of water, which is sufficient to nourish about 3,000 square meters of urban green space for one year.
• We saved 830 liters of gasoline, reducing the emissions of PM2.5 and nitrogen oxides and purifying the air.

For decades, CASCO has been actively engaged in public welfare environmental protection with a strong sense of social responsibility. We have picked up over 1,000 kg of garbage from beaches and riverbanks, donated more than 30,000 saplings, and laid nearly 50,000 square meters of straw checkerboard barriers, continuously protecting the lucid waters and lush mountains.

In the field of rail transit, as an innovative pioneer, CASCO adheres to the principle of using technology for good and has introduced a number of green and low-carbon technologies. For example, we achieve precise matching of transportation capacity through the flexible online coupling of trains, reduce operational energy consumption by optimizing the train operation timetable and automatic operation, and achieve traction and electromechanical energy conservation through the energy-saving control system, etc., empowering the development of green transportation.
