The year of 2016 is the 30^th anniversary of the foundation of CASCO Signal Ltd. as well as the “Innovation Year”. Recently, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology together with Ministry of Finance issued the list of 2016 National Technical Innovation Demonstration Companies. CASCO was officially certified and became the only company that won this honor in rail transit industry in 2016.

In order to implement innovation-driven development strategy, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Ministry of Finance enacted management regulations and carried out certification of national technical innovation demonstration companies, so as to encourage and promote leading enterprises in all industries to give full play to its leading role. The selection is based on various technology and innovation criteria such as innovation investment, innovation team and environment building, talent motivation, innovation cooperation, technology accumulation, technical innovation output and benefit and industry leading role. CASCO stood out by its benchmark technical innovation and recognized technology advantage in rail transit industry, continuous and steady R&D investment (accounting for 8-10% of annual sales revenue), complete product solutions in all areas, innovative organization mechanism and leading safety and quality system, increasing business achievement and outstanding performance in China’s the Belt and Road strategy. Thus it became one of the four Shanghai companies wining this honor.
