Recently Shanghai Science and Technology Commission issued the list of 2017 Shanghai Innovation Pilot Companies. CASCO was honored to be one of the 10 elected companies.

Shanghai Innovation Company Cultivation Project began in 2017 and aimed to accelerate building Shanghai into science and technology innovation center with global influence to lead innovation and strengthen attraction, innovation and competiveness. The project has high requirements for the company, which should be Top 3 in China or globally leading in subdivided sectors in hi-tech or strategic emerging industry with annual sales of over 1 billion Yuan. Meanwhile, the company should have core technology and more than 10 core independent intellectual property rights and complete technical innovation system with R&D cost no less than 5% of revenue.

As an all-round train control system integrator, CASCO keeps an annual input of no less than 10% of sales into innovation in train control system for over 30 years. By far CASCO boast hundreds of completely self-developed system technologies and products of international level serving all sectors, i.e. national railway, urban rail transit, intercity railway and tramway. It has established complete independent innovation mechanism as well as leading safety and quality system. By November 2017, CASCO has 159 authorized patents and 214 software copyrights.

During the pilot time, CASCO will continue comprehensive construction including open innovation, strategic management, global layout, high-end product and service and entrepreneurship with support from Shanghai committees and strive to become the innovation benchmark for Shanghai technology companies.
