Recently, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization issued 2017 Shanghai Innovative Products, in which CASCO’s new generation of rail transit control system ranked second among 66 products.

The products in the list are innovative products in emerging industry that Shanghai focused on developing, which should have proprietary intellectual property rights, potential economic benefits and market prospect. And they will be brought into government procurement system to encourage and support the R&D and application of new products.

TRANAVI is a signaling system developed by CASCO with full intellectual property rights, marking the birth of Shanghai independent rail transit signaling system. The safe, reliable and mature system boasts life-cycle management which could satisfy the need of plan management, train dispatching, safe operation and system maintenance, and has passed SIL4 safety assessment by international third party.
 

By far the system has been applied to rail transit in Ethiopia and Shanghai Line 17, and realized compatibility and interconnection between TRANAVI and Urbalis 888 on Beijing Fangshan Line. TRANAVI has thus become the first independent signaling system solution that went abroad, bringing “Created in China” to the international stage for the rail transit industry.

The election of TRANAVI is a recognition and encouragement of CASCO’s persistence in independent innovation. CASCO will continue the transition of technology and further enhance technology R&D and application, making its contribution to the innovation and development of rail transit industry and transportation safety of the public.
