On October 20 2017, CASCO Centralized Traffic Control System (FZk-CTC_V3.0.1) was successfully certified in terms of safety by a third-party certification authority and obtained the SIL2 Compliance Document, making it the first SIL2 CTC system in China. 

The safety certification of CASCO CTC system was initiated in 2013. For the purpose of satisfying the user demands of Hong Kong section of Guangdong-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Passenger Dedicated Line, CASCO, on the basis of the CTC system commonly used by railway bureaus, included the safety architecture based on combined fault safety theory to significantly improve safety technology and safety management. Meanwhile, on the premise of strictly complying with CENELEC safety standard and IRIS quality standard, it updated the CTC system and improved the RAM design of the system, thus effectively improving the reliability and usability of the entire system. 

The SIL2-certified CTC system will be first applied to Guangdong-Shenzhen-Hong Kong passenger dedicated line, and then gradually expanded to national railway and enterprise railway markets to satisfy varied demands of different customers and to better serve and support public trip demand and safety.
