At 15:00 on March 13, the whole line thermal sliding test and on-site test and commissioning start-up ceremony of Nantong Rail Transit (NTRT) Line 2 Phase I Project, co-sponsored by Nantong Rail Transit Group, CASCO and China Railway Electrification Engineering Group Co., Ltd., was held at Yongda Road Station. Wang Zhi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Nantong Rail Transit Group, Wang Yin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman and President of CASCO, and leaders and representatives of other parties participating in the construction attended the ceremony.

The Line 2 Phase I Project adopts CASCO's CBTC signaling system. The line is about 20.9km long, consisting of 17 stations and 1 depot and comprehensive base (including the test line and training center), and shares the control center with Line 1, which also involves CASCO’s construction.
Intertwined vertically and horizontally, Line 2 and Line 1 together form the main skeleton network of NTRT. After the opening of Line 1 Phase I on November 10, 2022, the construction process of Line 2 has been attracting much attention. Therefore, CASCO bravely shouldered the heavy responsibility, turned expectations into motivation, and devoted itself to the project construction with the spirit of a doer.
In the construction of Line 2, CASCO adhered to the principle of high starting point, high standard and high quality, aiming at excellence, and going all out to maximize the quality of the project. Faced with the constraints and influences of various external conditions, the CASCO team carefully planned and overcame difficulties. With the strong support of NTRT Group, after a month of intense and orderly work, the indoor static testing and consistency testing of whole-line interlocking were successfully completed, and the third-party safety authorization certificate of whole-line interlocking was obtained, effectively breaking through the key nodes of on-site testing.
System equipment installation and testing
On the day of the event, the leaders attending the ceremony went deep into the site to understand the progress of the project, checked the construction situation and the operation status of the system equipment, and encouraged the project team to make persistent efforts to complete the comprehensive "examination" before the trial operation as scheduled with high quality.
As the on-site testing starts, the CASCO team will carry out a series of strict functional verification and commissioning of the signaling system, and go out all to achieve the goal of trial operation and opening of the line on time, helping NTRT to form a network of lines and a new pattern of urban rail transit development.
