Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway (Guangxi section) that CASCO participated in, was put into operation on August 31, marking the official opening of the entire Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway and adding a new transportation artery in Southwest and South China.

Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway is an important part of Baotou (Yinchuan)-Haikou channel in the "eight verticals and eight horizontals” high-speed railway network. It is also the first high-speed railway in Guangxi with design speed of 350 km/h. The length of the entire line is 482 km while the main line of Guangxi section is 281 km. It links up Nanning North Station, Mashan County Station, Du'an Station, Yong'an Town Station, Hechi West Station, Huanjiang Station, Fengling North Block Post, and Xiangzhu Block Post, and is connected to the Nanning Hub. CASCO provided the CTC3.0 centralized traffic control system and centralized signal monitoring system for this project to ensure the safe operation of trains.

Passing through the rolling Miaoling Mountains and Jiuwan Mountains, Guangxi section of Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway draws a magnificent picture of railway construction. However, the beautiful scenery could not be built without the sacrifice of front-line workers. As many of the new stations along the route are distributed in remote mountainous areas, a series of challenges such as traffic congestion and lack of cell phone signals emerged one after another. In the face of such difficulties, CASCO’s project team worked together and responded positively. With the joint efforts, the project team successfully completed tasks such as equipment installation, commissioning, and cooperation in acceptance, which laid a solid foundation for the opening of the entire line and gained high recognition and praise from the client.

Signaling cabinets and console at stations

After the opening of Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway, the travel time from Nanning to Guiyang has been shortened from more than 5 hours to less than 3 hours. The artery has further improved the regional transportation pattern and will greatly facilitate the travel of people in Guizhou and Guangxi. In the great journey of enhancing China’s strength in transportation, CASCO's participation in the construction of Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway is not only to build a railway, but also to create a path to happiness, to inject vitality into the economic revitalization of the areas along the line, and to contribute to the development of the region.
