Recently, CASCO, in collaboration with Shenzhen Metro Signal Technology Co. Ltd., successfully won the bid for the procurement of signaling system equipment and service for the Qianhai Bonded Area to Pingdi Section of Shenzhen-Huizhou Intercity Railway. It is CASCO’s another line with dual-mode signaling systems, following Shenzhen International Airport-Dayawan Intercity Railway (Shenzhen section) and Dapeng Branch Line of Shenzhen-Hui Intercity Railway, the first CBTC+CTCS project in the industry. It supports dual-mode systems covering all the trains along the line, which will further promote the research and application of multi-mode train control system.

The Qianhai Bonded Area to Pingdi section of Shenzhen-Huizhou Intercity Railway starts at Qianbao Station in Shenzhen and ends at Pingdi Station, spanning a total length of 58.7 kilometers with 11 stations. It connects with Shenzhen International Airport-Dayawan Intercity Railway at Wuhe Station and offers convenient transfers with multiple stations of Shenzhen Metro Lines 1, 5, 9, and 10.
This line, featuring high-density, mass transit and networked operation, will adopt integrated train dispatching command system. Through the deep integration of CTC and ATS systems, it can concurrently oversee intercity/suburban lines with railway and urban rail signaling systems, meeting the needs of train dispatching and trackside equipment management within the intercity railway network in Shenzhen metropolitan area. This lays the foundation for the "unified planning, unified standards, and coordinated operation" of intercity railways in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Winning this bid is not only another breakthrough for CASCO in intercity/suburban railway market, but also a significant innovation in the field of rail transit signaling. It is of great significance in solving the interconnection challenge of lines with different signaling systems and building an integrated "four-network convergence" transportation system.
