From May 15-16, the 2025 Indonesia Rail Summit (IRS) was grandly held in Jakarta. Under the theme of "Interconnection and collaboration lead to the win-win partnership", the summit explored rail transit technological innovation, market prospects in Southeast Asia, and international collaboration, attracting government agencies from ASEAN nations and leading enterprises from China, South Korea, Germany, and other countries. CASCO, a pioneering Chinese rail transit signaling enterprise, was invited to participate, demonstrating the innovation vitality and brand influence of Chinese companies in global competition.
Digital Intelligence Empowers Technological Revolution in Rail Transit
At the sub-forum, Wang Donghai, CASCO's representative, delivered a keynote speech highlighting the company's cutting-edge digital intelligence technologies. He introduced CASCO's independently developed TRANAVI Qiji TACS—the world's first TACS system in revenue service. It was first commissioned in Shenzhen Metro Line 20 in 2021, and is currently being applied in the revamping of Shanghai Metro Lines 3 and 4, as well as Wuhan Metro Line 1. With the advantages of enhanced safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, the system has become a preferred choice for clients.
With the rapid advancement of AI, CASCO continues to expand "rail + AI" applications, delivering innovative solutions for intelligent rail transit. These include low-altitude inspection and ground surveillance systems for construction risk monitoring and alerting along metro lines, as well as autonomous inspection by robot dogs based on SKY big model, reinforcement learning, and embodied intelligence.
Accelerating Global Expansion to Advance Worldwide Rail Development
With the Belt and Road Initiative, CASCO has expanded its overseas market to over 20 countries and regions, delivering landmark projects in Australia, Egypt, Mexico, etc. It recently secured the UTO telecommunication and signaling system integration project for Dubai Metro Blue Line, further solidifying its international competitiveness.
Citing CASCO's globalization efforts, Wang Donghai shared the case of Mexico City Metro Lines 1-6 PCC reconstruction after fire accident. By digitally restoring train monitoring functions, CASCO enabled the digital transformation of control center. "President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico praised CASCO's technical expertise and delivery capability after our ATS system went into revenue service," Wang noted.
In recent years, as Southeast Asian nations accelerate rail transit development, CASCO has also been actively engaged in the projects there, including the Thanaleng Station on Laos-Thailand Railway and Thailand Double-Track Railway. Leveraging this summit, CASCO will further deepen the alignment between its technologies and Southeast Asian market demands, foster regional cooperation and expand its global business, providing premium mobility service for global passengers with innovative technologies.
